Save the Sharks

Sharks are ancient animals. There are more than 400 types of sharks. Sharks only have one eyelid. More than 100 million sharks are killed every year.

People hunt sharks for their fins. When the fins are cut off, they throw the shark in the water unable to swim and then the shark sinks down in the sand and dies.

Sharks are not maneaters. Unless the shark is threatened, it will not attack.

Some sharks are big and some sharks are small. The Great White shark is as big as a speed boat. They can be 10 feet long. That is pretty long for a shark.
